Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a complete system of healing that has been practised for over 5000 years. It is based on a philosophy that views the human body as an energetic whole.

The quality and flow of energy in the body needs to be balanced both internally and externally for optimum health.

The principle aim of acupuncture is to treat the whole person (physically, emotionally and spiritually) to recover the body’s natural equilibrium and improve the overall well being of the patient.

The energy, or qi, is affected by inserting acupuncture needles at specific points to stimulate the body’s recuperative powers re-establishing the natural order or bodily state.

Although acupuncture has traditionally been seen as a means of pain relief, it can be used to treat a wide range of illnesses ranging from arthritis to ulcers.
