'Sometimes I simply remind patients that sooner or later they will have to relinquish the goal of having a better past.' Irving Yallom
For all of us there can be times in our lives when we feel challenged, out of control, stressed or alone. Echoes from the past can threaten, or current difficulties can seem overwhelming. Life events such as relationship difficulties, bereavement, redundancy or family problems can be hard to cope with.
Counselling and psychotherapy provide a safe, confidential space in which to address difficulties and access support as well as looking at how to understand and resolve concerns and conflicts. The Rock Clinic Association offers a range of established and well-researched psychological therapies, reflecting our belief that no single approach to therapy is appropriate for everyone.
Available therapeutic options and expertise vary according to the different schemes provided by the Rock Clinic Association. During the initial interview, we discuss more fully what is available for your particular situation, and whilst we make every effort to accommodate people's needs and preferences, we treat everyone fairly and only offer services to ensure that clients have the appropriate treatment for the information that has been provided.
We recognise that there will be occasions when we may be unable to offer therapy at the time, location and scheme you have requested and we reserve the right to do so. If we are unable help, where possible we will inform you of other organisations who may be able to provide further assistance.
